Zeus (神様 Kami-sama, lit. "Lord God") is a god whose role in Pit's quest is to prepare him for the trials ahead. As such, he can be encountered in the Sacred Training Chamber, flinging Monoliths and handing out weapons, or waiting patiently in the Sacred Chamber to grant an Arrow of Strength.

Kid Icarus

Known merely as "a friendly god", he will train Pit in the Sacred Training Chambers. If he passes, Pit will get to choose a sacred treasure.

Kid Icarus: Of Myths and Monsters

Zeus is now referred to by his proper name but otherwise fulfills the same role. However, Zeus will insult Pit as being a "weakling" if he flees.

Kid Icarus: Uprising

While Zeus does not appear in game the Thunder Cloud Temple's back story mentions that it was originally inhabited by a thunder god. Dyntos also seems to be a reinvention of Zeus as they are both incredibly powerful gods who give Pit weapons.

  • Zeus is, of course, named after the father-figure God of the Greek Pantheon. He's much less lecherous here, and he's not nearly so much a central figure here as he is in mythology.
  • Despite not being an angel, Zeus is shown with a halo in the official art from Kid Icarus: Of Myths and Monsters.
